With the busy holiday season ramping up, it’s likely you’ll want to step up the intensity on your content calendar to drive as many downloads for your app as possible. Increasing your frequency of posting is a great way to begin to drive more visibility and engagement but it can leave you struggling to come up with enough post ideas to keep your feed interesting and fresh.
We’ve done the hard work for you this week with these easy suggestions for Instagram posts you can use right now – just don’t forget, you’ll need to tie them to your app the action you want your reader to take (such as download, take a free trial or review).
1. Repost user generated content
Influencer marketing is a multi-million pound industry because consumers look to others to help them make purchase decisions. Having someone endorse or advocate for your brand helps to drive undecided leads further through the buyer funnel. And that’s exactly why you should add user generated content (UGC) to your content calendar; that and it’s a great way to fill up your post quota with zero creation or creativity required on your part.
Finding UGC for your brand is easy too. Simply scroll back through your notifications for alerts advising you you’ve been tagged or, do a hashtag search for your brand name.
Don’t forget to tag the original user and add your own caption when sharing.
2. Launch a festive giveaway
A festive giveaway is another easy way to fill your feed. Go for an advent style campaign if you have the time and resource, and you’ll instantly get 12 or 24 posts (one per day through December) which you can use to engage your audience. You can also tie this type of post in with UGC by asking your followers to share an image and tag you. If you simply want to rack up more engagement, entrance to your giveaway could require users to like the post, comment and then share to their Stories.
3. Curate fun quotes
No matter your industry or area of expertise, there are bound to be more than a few quotes which perfectly tie in with your brand. If you have access to a graphic designer – or want to have a go yourself using a tool such as Canva – it’s simply a case of recreating that quote in a manner which fits your brand aesthetic. You can also encourage your audience to get involved, by asking them to tag someone who needs to see the quote or like and share if they agree.
4. Find relevant social media holidays
The year is packed with so-called ‘social media holidays’ celebrating everything from peanut butter and donuts to house plants and golden retrievers. Download a social media holidays calendar and pick a few days which complement your own brand to quickly and easily fill in a spot on your Instagram content calendar.
